Sol Properties is the development arm of the Bhatia Group, and the order of that sentence matters. Bhatia General Contracting has been building in the UAE since 1975 and has delivered more than two hundred and fifty projects, from villa communities to civic infrastructure. Ajay Bhatia founded Sol in 2004 to put a design and development practice on top of a contracting business rather than beside one.
The case is the same one Sobha makes: a developer that owns the build is not negotiating with a subcontractor over a defect, it is instructing its own people. Fairmont Residences Solara Tower in Downtown is the reference completion; the current register runs from a West Crescent scheme on Palm Jumeirah to gated clusters in Jumeirah Village Circle, which is a wide spread of price points held by one balance sheet.
