HRE Development began in Sharjah in 2003 as a contractor and turned itself into a developer, which is the direction of travel that tends to produce the fewest surprises at handover. Under chairman Mohamed Adib Hijazi and chief executive Wissam Breidy it counts more than two hundred completed projects and homes for over twelve thousand families across the emirates.
The current register is concentrated in Dubai Science Park and Jumeirah Village Circle under the Skyhills name, the largest of them SkyHills Astra, a twin-tower scheme of 1,710 units. The case is a delivery record long enough to be checked rather than described: twenty-two years of it, most of it built with its own hands. The company also attached a thirty million dirham pledge to Dubai Cares to the Astra scheme, which is unusual enough in this market to note.
