Atara Development builds signature villas, the Opal, Laguna, Isola and Aquamarine series among them, and has moved from Dubai into Ras Al Khaimah with the branded residence that gives it its widest reach: The Residences at the Sheraton Al Marjan Island Resort, launched with Marriott International and the first Sheraton-branded residences in the GCC.
The case is a small house attaching an international hotel operator to a shoreline that has repriced faster than anywhere else in the northern emirates. A branded residence carries a service standard contractually rather than aspirationally, which is what the premium pays for. The counterweight is size: Atara reports roughly a million square feet in its active pipeline, which is a modest register, and its delivery history is correspondingly short.
